I love you. I love the way that you love God and the way that you love our family. I love your faithfulness, your silliness, and your depth. I love how much being a good dad matters to you. I love how you’ve inspired me to keep my focus on Jesus, and how hard you’ve been working to keep Him at the center of our marriage. I love seeing how far God has brought you, and look forward to seeing how much further He will take you. And me. And all of us together.

Homecoming Dance

Katie’s friend invited her to go to the Homecoming dance tonight. As homeschoolers, we don’t throw many school dances, so Katie was super excited to be invited.

    

   

She came home telling us the music was way too loud and it wasn’t anything like the dances she saw on TV, where it was all classy and sophisticated. She was happy to have had the experience, but decided she’s just not a dance kind of girl. She’s more of a book reading, Latin-studying kind of girl-which just so happens to be our favorite kind!
